Small Talk Six: What my Dad and I have in common

Despite being acknowledged by family as a Papa's girl, I don't think there was that much interaction between us while I was growing up. Communication was routin-ish, but we did have fond father-and-daughter moments. These are things Papa and I have in common:

1. Board games
2. Reading self to sleep
3. Spoiling kids
4. Excellent meats and desserts
5. Stubbornness
6. Spending a lot of time on a passion

Weekend Funnies: Snug Softness

The email began like this: one could lose oneself in such snug softness.

I know most of you are dog lovers and will help. My neighbor has lost her Chihuahua puppy and is desperate to find him.

Yesterday, she was sitting on the couch watching TV and realized he was gone. She called out to him and he never responded and of course it was then that she noticed the back door was open. She has been putting up signs everywhere in an effort to have him returned.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. THIS IS WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE

and thanks Mareng for the continuous supply of laughter

My dad and I didn't have that much interaction as well. Even affection is more forced for us. I do, however, appreciate all the commonalities we do have.

Well I'm glad your back and that all is well. I'm still not home. Will be late tonight. Don't think I'll be back blogging full time for a while. Got some things to do. I'm just glad you and CJ are back and okay. :)

A little boy's tiara

It's a week abundant with life's little pleasures, and I'm enjoying such a great Friday mood with the FFF ladies over at Susanne's Living to Tell the Story . If you are dropping by from Mommy Moments, please scroll down a bit; thank you. Now the highlights of my week -- 1. Birthday dinner at Cabbages and Condoms . Newborn Days and Foggy Mornings

Friday's Fave Five: Foggy Mornings (Please scroll down for Mommy Moments) i. Refund . The business office refunded my visa problem expenses. I had to pay the fine but they took care of everything else which was a pleasant surprise as I didn't expect them to and I already conditioned my mind to face a few deprivations. A colleague who is privy to the vice president told me, "They refunded you because they need you." I don't know whether I should believe it. Foreign employees are sometimes treated like necessary evil around here. But well, it's the refund that's the fave. ii. Foggy mornings . I counted two early mornings of fog. I could not see buildings 2 minute-walk away. The illusion of cold made me smile. iii. Bible Heroes , Ceejay's new DVD interest. He never wanted to watch it when he was 3.
