Camera averse

CJ's aversion to being photographed is getting worse. Now I have to master the art of stealing shots. This is a rare click that managed to capture most of his face. I'm happy I got his long hair before the lola decided this style should go.

Sometimes I think the aversion is a kind of condition but well... for this week's MM theme: lights, camera, pose...

Voila! that's his pose.

There are proper, decent poses of kids on Chris's MM participants list. Check them out at The Mommy Journey.

Magiging ganyan din mga anak ko soon hindi mag pose kailangan we have to be quick in stealing shots. Your son looks like a girl in her long hair and he is a handsome young man.

He is growing up so fast and right before our eyes. :) I wonder if he just doesn't like his picture taken because you are taking them. You know how young kids can be with their parents. Make things as difficult as possible LOL. I know I did that and still do...oh my...I hope he doesn't turn out like that LOL :) Have a great Friday :)

How old is your son, Mommy? When my son is in the mood for posing in front of the camera, that's when I get his best poses. When he's not, it will take forever to get a decent shot of him. LOL!

Chris, i wouldn't have had any difficulty as 99% of his photos nowadays are either stolen or forced hahah

zoan, oo nga totoo... :D

Willa, i'll go get him an electric guitar :)

Shy, yong dapat mabilis ka ng pagshoot, tama yon lol... nakakapagod nga lang kung minsan

Thom, yeah i think so too he's growing fast despite being a picky eater. that's a good perspective you have there - how come i didn't think of that angle? boys! lol

chubs, yon ang sabi ng lola nya - mas tidy daw ang maiksi kaya within an hour of our arrival at home, maiksi na kaagad buhok nya.

bonz, napagkamalan yang babae sa immigration in manila people in hongkong were undecided, lol!

Hallelujah Chorus: stand or sit?

According to legend, King George II of England rose to his feet when the Hallelujah Chorus was sung. Following protocol his subjects rose up as well. Thus began the tradition of audiences around the world rising during the Hallelujah performace. There are many speculations as to why the king stood or if he even stood at all. The Bangkok Combined Choir is composed of volunteer singers of around twenty nationalities. Every year in December, the choir performs Handel's Messiah. I sang once. (pure luck: there was no audition in 2000) Rehearsals got me thinking of the tradition of standing when the Hallelujah Chorus is sang. I googled what people have to say and my today is a list of opinions about audience decorum during the chorus: 1. The Hallelujah Chorus is like an anthem for the church. Whenever you hear it you are supposed to stand up. 2. Standing for the Hallelujah Chorus just interrupts the performance. 3. People should not be taught that they need to stand up at a certain time ...

Regency delight and love language

Friday's Fave Five: Regency Period Cake Please scroll down for Mommy Moments Ambience of Banana Leaf Restaurant dinners continue to be the trend for us this week. Rustic charm has always been a big hit to me and Banana Leaf's got it. Buckets of real wheat, garlic and pumpkin hang adorning the wall. Plus the sweet and sour fish and chicken with cashew nuts and mushroom are a real pleasure. J Lo Live This was a gift to me two years ago. Cj is too young to be choosy with scents. He smiles playfully when I spray it on him and I laugh inwardly thinking he is a boy wearing a girl's perfume. This week we both smell the same :) Cyberbanking I finally dragged documents and myself down K Bank to register for online financial transactions. Spending only what I earn suits me best as I avoid debts and the convenience of sorting expenses any time of day in familiar surrounding is always welcome.
