3 Minutes and Another Brick

Musical Monday: Another Brick in the Wall
Please scroll down for Monday Mayhem

Six periods. It is what my timetable says I am supposed to be dealing with today. But I did only two. Thanks to the power cut we have the rest of the day free and it's only lunchtime. Yohoh! At a quarter to 12 everyone was taking off. The parking lot was excitedly busy. Both students and faculty were in high spirits. As I made my way out of the huge gate I also found myself grinning at some students. They cast me questioning looks so I let them in, "Well, people, during times like these, teachers are probably actually happier than you lot." Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall may not absolutely reflect the culture of my workplace, but it's what rocked in my head today.

Cj hearts the hugs, Thom. With my tendency to wander, I knew I'd never make it in 3. But I enjoyed my breakfast lol!

moorebloglife, I'm glad you love them

Run, the Wall is also my fave. I actually used to sing it in when I was a student and didn't like to get into class, lol... Now I just made sure I'd be singing it again on a happy perspective. Tomorrow is definitely better. Students are having meetings the whole day and teachers aren't doing hard-core teaching or brainwashing (just kidding about the latter) rofl...

I remember so well the day I first heard this song on the radio back in the early 80's - I want to say 82.. maybe 81? It was original and I loved it - so very different than Michael Jackson who was taking over the airwaves at the time.

Still love this song.... it makes me feel young again...

Thanks

I love that song, the video used to creep me out as a kid, though. I never really got into Pink Floyd, but that song is an absolute classic.

It's a week abundant with life's little pleasures, and I'm enjoying such a great Friday mood with the FFF ladies over at Susanne's Living to Tell the Story . If you are dropping by from Mommy Moments, please scroll down a bit; thank you. Now the highlights of my week -- 1. Birthday dinner at Cabbages and Condoms . Friday's Fave Five: Foggy Mornings (Please scroll down for Mommy Moments) i. Refund . The business office refunded my visa problem expenses. I had to pay the fine but they took care of everything else which was a pleasant surprise as I didn't expect them to and I already conditioned my mind to face a few deprivations. A colleague who is privy to the vice president told me, "They refunded you because they need you." I don't know whether I should believe it. Foreign employees are sometimes treated like necessary evil around here. But well, it's the refund that's the fave. ii. Foggy mornings . I counted two early mornings of fog. I could not see buildings 2 minute-walk away. The illusion of cold made me smile. iii. Bible Heroes , Ceejay's new DVD interest. He never wanted to watch it when he was 3.
