The Sugarcane House is made of bamboo, has nothing in it that resembles a sugarcane, and stands nowhere a single sugarcane plant. It is anchored on the banks of the River Kwai. You can spend your nights there feeling like you are lulled to dreamland in a hammock. Most of the guests are tourists exploring Kanchanaburi. This is the sign on doors:
At first I thought the management was just being cute. Then the couple in the next room discussed their tour of the day. I heard them like they were right next to me, and deeper into the night they were beginning to sound annoying. I then understood what Whisper Only meant.

It must be like naming streets after trees that used to grow there before they were cut down to give way to the construction of roads :)
